Happy New Year - Anderida Practice Year in Review

A Year of Growth and Gratitude

Dear Anderida Practice Community 🍃,

As we bid farewell to the transformative year of 2023, we are filled with gratitude and excitement to share the myriad wonders that have enriched our practice over the past year. From the transformation of the Sweet Chestnut Studio to the heartening addition of the Acorn Children's Clinic, every step has been a testament to the unwavering support and dedication of our beloved community.

Transforming Our Spaces:

The newly expanded Anderida Practice embarked on its journey in the early stages of the year, witnessing the welcoming transformation of Sweet Chestnut Studio into a serene haven. A fresh coat of chalk-white paint replaced the former deep green, creating a neutral and inviting atmosphere. New uplighters were also added, contributing to a lovely warm and cosy space. Simultaneously, the Silver Birch treatment room embraced a warm clay hue, representing earth clay to create a grounding, cocoon-like feeling.

With the help of a grant, we were able to install infrared heaters and double glazing in our studio space, as well as some of the treatment rooms, providing sun-like warmth ideal for yoga sessions or treatments at our multibed clinics. The deep relaxation experienced contributes to the overall well-being of our community.

Again, with the help of funding, we were able to purchase new conference chairs that now provide comfortable seating for our singing classes, support groups, multibed clinics, and offer seating for talks and events. Beyond our walls, the allure of our practice extends to Lewes Road through new window vinyls, proudly showcasing the array of services we offer.

National Lottery Funding:

In early 2023, we were incredibly blessed to receive National Lottery funding for our Anderida Project, enabling us to be able to offer low cost treatments and support groups, including breastfeeding support, a homeopathic drop-in clinic, and teenage support groups.

Acorn Children’s Clinic:

In Spring, with the support of National funding, it was with much joy that after months of preparation, we opened our Acorn Children's Clinic.

Founded by Laura Pople and Rebecca Wheatley, our dedicated team comprises three paediatric osteopaths and one paediatric acupuncturist. Our clinic stands as a beacon of hope, providing low-cost acupuncture and osteopathy services to children in need. The dream, nurtured for years, has now become a reality, extending support not only to children but also to mothers pre-postpartum up to 6 months postpartum.

New Classes, Workshops, Teachers, Practitioners:

Throughout the year, we were blessed with the addition of wonderful teachers to our team, and we are grateful for our longer-standing teachers and facilitators, offering diverse classes such as singing groups, sound healing, tai chi.

We are delighted to share recent new classes: yoga for beginners with Amber and Mindful Mini Yoga Club for little ones with Emily, as well as fitness classes with James. We are also excited to announce the introduction of Yoga for mother and baby starting in January 2024—more details to follow soon!

Heartfelt thanks to all our practitioners and facilitators for hosting inspiring workshops in 2023, continuing to support our fellow humans in their healing journeys and making positive changes.

Forest Row Festival:

In the warmth of summer, we took great pleasure in overseeing the Wellness Area at the Forest Row Festival. Tranquil bell tents, poised as treatment sanctuaries, awaited practitioners ready to guide clients into a peaceful and healing space.

This served as a serene retreat from the festival's lively ambiance, allowing attendees to briefly step away from the busyness and immerse themselves in a moment of tranquillity.

Taster Days:

A special acknowledgment goes to Sally for initiating and coordinating the Anderida taster days—a resounding success that will continue to run, offering our local community the opportunity to experience the treatments and therapies we offer at the Anderida practice and embark on their healing journey.

Anderida Team Expansion:

With heartfelt appreciation, I am delighted to announce the expansion of our staff team in 2023, as we warmly welcomed Amelia and Sydney to our dedicated Anderida family.

I’d like to take a moment to say a big thank you to Amelia, who joined the practice in June. Amelia has proven to be a transformative force, reshaping our operations behind the scenes. Her dedication to keeping our current website updated, alongside playing a crucial role in ongoing funding applications, has been instrumental in shaping our digital presence and supporting our mission to continue to offer lower-cost services to our community. We eagerly anticipate the unveiling of our even better new website in the coming year, thanks to Amelia's tireless efforts. Additionally, Amelia is the creative force behind our weekly newsletter, crafting exciting and informative content to keep our community inspired and informed about What’s on at the Anderida Practice.

A big thank you to Sydney, our social media guru, whose creative eye and artistic touch have brought our vision to life through beautiful nature images and inspired wording. Sydney's role in curating our Instagram page and crafting calming nature images for our website has been invaluable. Sydney, thank you for being an integral part of Anderida Practice's growth and for aligning your creative input with our vision.

A heartfelt thank you to Josi, who diligently looks after patient and client inquiries and bookings, as well as taking care of our practitioners. Your dedication ensures that our community receives the attention and care they deserve.

Looking Ahead:

As we stand on the threshold of the New Year, we express profound gratitude for your unwavering support and enthusiasm. We feel so blessed to be able to serve and look after the health of so many members of our community.

Wishing you all a joyful and abundantly healthy New Year!

With gratitude,

Laura and the Anderida Team
