Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork therapy based on Traditional Chinese Medicine that works with the classical meridian channels and acupuncture points to balance energy in the body. The shiatsu practitioner employs a range of techniques – including acupressure, stretching, and gentle mobilisation – to move energy and stimulate the body’s natural healing response.

Practised through the clothes, shiatsu is a deeply relaxing and non-invasive therapy. Using careful and considered diagnosis, the practitioner tailors each treatment to the needs of the individual, providing relief from a wide range of physical and emotional conditions.

She employs a wide range of techniques - including acupressure, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, mobilisation, deep tissue massage, stretching, and gentle manipulation - which work together to relieve pain, reduce muscular tension and improve range of motion.

Each treatment is tailored to the individual needs of the client and focuses upon the areas of the body most in need of attention, providing immediate and lasting relief from painful conditions.
