HYPNOTHERAPY
The word hypnosis comes from the Greek work for ‘sleep,’ and is reported to be one of the oldest healing techniques in the world. Hypnosis is a naturally occurring phenomenon and we experience this relaxed state many times daily, for instance, when we drift away into our own thoughts by daydreaming or when we become engrossed in a book or film.
By calming the nervous system it allows for a deep state of relaxation where the subconscious mind awakens and the conscious mind drifts. Through this process you are able to achieve a heightened state of consciousness or mindfulness, enabling you to understand the root cause of what is holding you back and explore ways to free you from your restrictive beliefs or limiting behaviour. It can help with many issues including sleep, anxiety, stress, overwhelm, relationship breakup recovery, unwanted habits, trauma, confidence, increasing motivation, pain relief, fears and phobias.
Hypnotherapy has been fully endorsed by the British Medical Association as a valued addition to conventional medical and psychotherapeutic treatments. As it is a natural state there are no side effects and this allows clients to leave the therapy room feeling more positive, calm and optimistic.
